Here are some tips of my own:

 

1.  If you get the spinning, colorful wheel, press control, option, escape, and select the app or program thats not responding, and press force quit.



2.  If you're trying to hook it up to a smart board, change the screen display.



3.  To hoke up a bluetooth, (or wireless), device, go to your Macs Bluetooth, and select that device.



4.  If your Wifi isn't working or is very slow, disconnect other devices from it, turn off your Mac's Wifi, turn it back on, and reconnect.



5.  If you're trying to connect a portable IOS device, (iPod touch, iPhone, iPad), than plug it in to one of the USB ports.  iTunes will open.  Turn on photo stream in your devices iCloud settings, and there you go.



6.  Make sure that you drag the icon for a flash drive to the trash before you pull it out.  If you don't, it will wipe itself.



7.  The Mac has a spot where you can plug in the card to a camera.
